Bloom Township 2024 Assessment Notices Mailed

Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Cook County Assessor’s office mailed 2024 property assessment notices to Bloom  Township property owners. The window for appealing your 2024 assessed value is now open and will remain so until the deadline of November 29, 2024.

Bloom  Township includes the following cities, towns, and villages: Chicago Heights, Flossmoor, Ford Heights, Glenwood (almost all), Homewood (portion), Lansing, Lynwood, Olympia Fields, Park Forest, Sauk Village (almost all), South Chicago Heights, and Steger.

We recommend that property owners review their assessments annually. If you believe your home may not be assessed fairly, it’s important to appeal whenever you have a strong, evidence-based argument. Although Bloom  Township was reassessed in 2023, you are still eligible to appeal your assessment this year, even if you appealed last year. A successful appeal in 2024 could lead to savings for two years until the next reassessment in 2026.
