Orland Township 2022 Assessment Notices Mailed

2022 property assessment notices were mailed by the Cook County Assessor’s office on July 13th to Orland Township property owners. The 33-day window to appeal your 2022 assessed value is now open until the deadline of August 15th. The following cities, towns, and villages are in Orland Township: Orland Hills, Orland Park, and Tinley Park.

We recommend homeowners review their assessments annually and appeal whenever there is a strong evidence-based argument that your property may not be assessed fairly. Orland Township’s next triennial reassessment is scheduled for 2023. However, if you feel that your assessment is not fair, there is no need to wait to appeal; property owners have the right to appeal every year at the Assessor’s office and the Board of Review. If you’d like a professional opinion on your home’s assessed value as it compares to similar properties in your neighborhood, contact us for a free, no-obligation review and analysis of your home.

Property values in the Chicagoland area do not stay the same every year. They frequently change as ownership changes, properties are remodeled, and new homes are constructed. Don’t make the mistake of only appealing during your property’s reassessment year.

If you contact us before the August 15th deadline, we would be happy to review your home’s assessment against the current values of nearby comparable properties and provide our professional opinion on whether or not an appeal makes sense this year.
