The Assessor’s Office has mailed 2021 assessment notices to Cicero property owners. You may appeal your assessment each year during the 30 day window which is now open and will close on July 9th.

Cook County reassesses properties triennially through a mass appraisal system. Cicero was last reassessed in 2020 and if you appealed and were successful on your 2020 tax year appeal you will see those savings this summer on your 2^nd installment property tax bill (the 1^st installment bill you recently received is always 55% of the previous year’s total tax).

2020 Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to Cicero Township homeowners on Friday, July 24^th. Homeowners in Cicero Township have 38 days to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The deadline for appealing at the Assessor’s office is August 31^st.

Cicero Township triennial reassessment notices were mailed on March 21^st. The Cook County Assessor’s Office is now accepting appeals through their deadline of Friday, April 21^st.

Townships are reassessed every 3 years in Cook County and Cicero Township is part of the south suburban group which is being reassessed in 2017.
