Board of Review Opens Group 2 for 2024 Property Tax Appeals!

The Cook County Board of Review has commenced accepting property tax appeals for 2024 for the second group. The deadline to appeal your 2024 assessed value with the Board is September 03, 2024. The townships currently open in Group 2 include:

    • Berwyn
    • Bremen
    • Calumet
    • Maine
    • New Trier
    • Oak Park
    • Palos

Property assessments can be appealed annually, regardless of when a township was reassessed. If you missed the opportunity to appeal at the Assessor’s office earlier this year, or if you appealed but were not satisfied with the outcome, you have another chance to appeal at the Board of Review.

Maine Township 2023 Assessment Notices Mailed

2023 property assessment notices were mailed by the Cook County Assessor’s office on Monday, August 07, 2023, to Maine Township property owners. The window to appeal your 2023 assessed value is now open until the deadline of September 08, 2023.

The following cities, towns, and villages are in Maine Township: Des Plaines, Glenview, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, and Rosemont. Homeowners in Maine Township have one month to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The deadline for appealing at the Assessor’s office is June 7th.

The Cook County Assessor’s office will release and post valuation statistics for Maine Township here when they become available.
