Board of Review Opens Group 5 Townships for Appeals

The Cook County Board of Review has opened Group 5 for 2017 property tax appeals. If your property is in one of the townships listed below you have until the deadline of December 12^th to appeal your 2017 assessment at the Cook County Board of Review.

• Worth

The Cook County Board of Review is an independent government agency, separate from the Assessor’s office, and has the authority to reduce property valuation assessments.

If you appeal at the Board of Review and succeed with your 2017 tax year appeal it will help ensure that you only pay your fair share in property taxes on your 2^nd installment property tax bill in July 2018. If you do not appeal at the Board of Review before your township’s deadline you will not have another opportunity to appeal your 2017 assessment.
