South Township 2021 Triennial Reassessments Mailed

2021 Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to South Township homeowners on Thursday, September 30, 2021. The following cities, towns, and villages are in South Township: Bridgeport, Brighton Park, Bronzeville, Lake Meadows, Loop, McKinley Park, Prairie Shores, and South Loop.

Homeowners in South Township have 32 days to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The deadline for appealing at the Assessor’s office is November 1st.

Lyons Township 2021 Assessment Notices Mailed

The Assessor’s Office has mailed 2021 assessment notices to Lyons property owners. You may appeal your assessment each year during the 35-day window which is now open and will close on October 25th. The following cities, towns, and villages are in Lyons Township: Bedford Park, Bridgeview, Brookfield, Burr Ridge, Countryside, Hickory Hills, Hinsdale, Hodgkins, Indian Head Park, Justice, La Grange, La Grange Highlands, Lyons, McCook, Pleasantdale, Ridgewood, Riverside, Summit, Western Springs, and Willow Springs.

Lyons was last reassessed in 2020 and if you appealed and were successful on your 2020 tax year appeal you will see those savings this summer on your 2nd installment property tax bill (the 1st installment bill you recently received is always 55% of the previous year’s total tax).

North Township 2021 Triennial Reassessments Mailed

2021 Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to North Township homeowners on Friday, September 17, 2021. The following cities, towns, and villages are in North Township: Gold Coast, Loop, Old Town, River North, and Streeterville.

The window to appeal your 2021 assessed value is now open until the deadline of October 04, 2021. 2021 property assessment notices were mailed to Northfield Township property owners by the Cook County Assessor’s Office on Friday, September 03, 2021.  The following cities, towns, and villages are in Northfield Township: Lake County Line.
