The Cook County Board of Review has officially opened the 2025 property tax appeal window for Group 2 townships: Cicero, Oak Park, and Palos. The deadline to file your appeal is August 19, 2025.

You have the opportunity to appeal your 2024 assessed value until the deadline of April 29th, 2024. It’s important to review your assessments annually and appeal whenever there is strong evidence that your home may not be assessed fairly. Even if you appealed last year, you may appeal your assessment again this year, potentially resulting in two years of savings until the next reassessment in 2026.
The Cook County Board of Review has opened 2023 property tax appeals for the first group. The
Triennial reassessment notices were mailed on Thursday, April 13, 2023, for Oak Park Township property owners. The opportunity to appeal your assessment at the Assessor’s office is now open until Monday, May 15th, 2023.
2022 property assessment notices were mailed by the Cook County Assessor’s office on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, to Berwyn, Calumet, Cicero, and Oak Park Township property owners. The window to appeal your 2022 assessed value is now open until the deadline of July 25, 2022.
