Cook County Board of Review Opens 2025 Property Tax Appeals for Group 2 (Cicero, Oak Park, Palos)
The Cook County Board of Review has officially opened the 2025 property tax appeal window for Group 2 townships: Cicero, Oak Park, and Palos. The deadline to file your appeal is August 19, 2025.

On Thursday, April 24th, the Cook County Assessor’s Office mailed 2025 property assessment notices to Cicero Township property owners. With the notices now in hand, the 43-day window to file an appeal is officially open and runs through Thursday, June 6th.
Attention Cook County homeowners! The Board of Review has officially opened the window for property tax appeals for Group 3 for 2024. If you reside in any of the following townships, now is the time to act:
The Cook County Assessor’s office has sent out 2024 property assessment notices to property owners in Cicero Township. You have the opportunity to appeal your 2024 assessed value until the deadline of July 19, 2024. It’s important to review your assessments annually and appeal whenever there is strong evidence that your home may not be assessed fairly. Even if you appealed last year, you may appeal your assessment again this year, potentially resulting in two years of savings until the next reassessment in 2026.
The Cook County Board of Review has opened 2023 property tax appeals for the second group. The
2023 Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to Cicero Township homeowners on Monday, April 17th, 2023. Homeowners in Cicero Township have 30 days to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The deadline for appealing at the Assessor’s office is May 17th, 2023.
2022 property assessment notices were mailed by the Cook County Assessor’s office on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, to Berwyn, Calumet, Cicero, and Oak Park Township property owners. The window to appeal your 2022 assessed value is now open until the deadline of July 25, 2022.
