On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the Cook County Assessor’s office mailed 2024 property assessment notices to Orland Township property owners. The window for appealing your 2024 assessed value is now open and will remain so until the deadline of October 09, 2024.

Board of Review Opens Group 3 for 2023 Appeals

The Cook County Board of Review has opened 2023 property tax appeals for the third group. The Board’s deadline to appeal your 2023 assessed value is November 03, 2023. Below are the townships that are currently open in Group 3:

  • Evanston
  • Lemont
  • New Trier
  • Orland
  • Schaumburg

Assessments can be appealed every year, regardless of when a township was reassessed. If you missed your appeal opportunity at the Assessor’s office earlier in the year, or if you did appeal and weren’t satisfied with the result, you have a second opportunity to appeal at the Board of Review. Orland Township 2023 Triennial Reassessments Mailed

2023 Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to Orland Township homeowners on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Homeowners in Orland Township have 32 days to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The Assessor’s Office has mailed 2021 assessment notices to Orland property owners. You may appeal your assessment each year during the 30 day window which is now open and will close on August 3rd.

Cook County reassesses properties triennially through a mass appraisal system.
